Laundry chute - this may be removed due to its width (quite narrowto serve its purpose... ie clothes might get 'stuck'!) So still contemplating whether it stays or goes... any thoughts?
the journey begins... demolishing 122 Macrossan Ave and starting all over again...

We had a laundry shute in our house at Highgate Hill. I didn't like it because if the washing was not done within a few hours ... cockroaches would help themselves to the leftovers on napkins etc. However, the laundry was underneath the house, there was a huge mango tree in the back garden and the gecko population had not arrived in Brisbane back then to keep the cockie numbers down. Pity the washing machine doesn't know how to switch itself on so the laundry gets done straight away.
Ooh La La. I love the spa. At home beauty treatments on the list? Is Paul going to take massage classes?
Ah okay, yeah, we're not sure... it 'sounds' like a great idea in theory... but like you say, it doesn't do the laundry for you; you've still gotta go down there anyway!!
Plus, we could only 'line it up' from the main bathroom, not our en suite where we'll be, er, offloading clothes the most!, so maybe 'tis not 'meant to be'...
But, it would avoid the 'piled up basket of clothes' syndrome... well, not 'avoid', just put the pile in a more practical place :)
We shall see...
Oh, and the spa isn't actually a spa... we opted for bath-only, cos we figured it's the same concept really... The idea of sitting in it in summer w windows open, champers in paw, hopping in/out to the balcony, is what it's about... the only bubbles I need are the ones in the glass!
Not 100% sure about the chute. Does it totally replace the laundry basket? I thought that it was just for when you actually go to do the laundry. You know, go to the basket, and throw what you want to wash through the chute which saves you carrying stuff to the washing machine? No? Obviously I don't have one of these. But then again it would be hard in the bungalow:) Ha ha
It basically goes from the upstairs bathroom through the walls down to the laundry downstairs - lands in a laundry bin or whatever we put down there... So basically saves us carrying the basket downstairs, yes. Plus, chuck yer clothes off, then they're 'out of sight' (out of mine? ha!) 'til laundry time...
And the verdict is... keeping the chute!
It's been cut out, we may as well give it a crack... if it turns out to be more arduous than we thought, we'll just revert to the old-school method of lugging our clothes downstairs... oh, the trauma ;)
